Written by There are some major shifts in the 2015 edition of Glassdoor’s annual “Best Places to Work” rankings. For the seventh year running, the career website calculated a rating for each employer based on reviews that employees can submit anonymously to the site. Google claimed the top spot after placing 8th last year (and if you want to work there, here are some pointers ). Apple jumped from 35th to 22nd; Facebook fell from fifth to 13th. The most drastic difference from last year’s rankings, though, was Twitter’s plunge. After being ranked second last year, Twitter fell out of the top 50 completely this time around. According to Glassdoor, poor employee reviews started rolling in after the company went public  in Nov. 2013, which led to a management shakedown. That Twitter employees were  threatened by ISIS probably didn’t help. In Glassdoor’s UK rankings, Microsoft ranked third this year, but was nowhere to be found in the US rankings.
