That's when the group decided to take a picture to mark the moment, and things took a creepy and larcenous turn. Ciccone had "left my purse on the floor right next to the table just for a few seconds" she tells SFist, when the woman who was taking their picture "said suddenly 'is that your friend that just took your purse?'" Spoiler: that guy on the right of the photo isn't her friend. It's a purse thief, Ciccone says, who was either watching the group, or who stumbled on them at just the right moment. Though Ciccone says she "got up and ran right after [him] but he was already gone.
