It was captcha! You need to disable captcha for the username you are attemping to bring over - https://www.google.com/a/<DOMAIN HERE>/UnlockCaptcha. What a very unhelpful and innacurate error message "Show error details Server returned error: "[AUTH] Username and password not accepted."" is...

"[AUTH] Username and password not accepted or captcha failure." would be nice!
