Back when I was job hunting, I prepared for coding interview for software engineering positions. I decided that I would publish here the solutions to some common interview questions here.
Some of the questions I invented, but most of them come or were inspired from those sources:
Here are my suggestions:
- 1. Buy the books.
- 2. Solve as many questions as possible on paper / white board first, then write code + test cases for correctness.
- 3. Have a friend do "simulated interviews" with you.
The solutions here are a pretty rough dump that I haven't taken the time to curate too well. If you have questions, write them in the comments page (or ask away on twitter @david_140orless). I also have many more that I didn't take the time to export to this website. If there's a lot of interest, I'll add more problems to have a more complete list.
