What's the hardest interview question you've ever been asked? : cscareerquestions

I was pretty far along in interviewing for a largish NY based software firm. They asked me to implement strtok. After getting it fairly close but with a few bugs remaining, I ran out of time. In the end I asked how most people handled it. He said "It is a massacre in a field of glass shards. You did better than most." I didn't get an offer though. I think it was a good question though.

So what's the hardest question you've been asked? And do you feel it was a legit question?
