- In your app server's root directory, create a new directory named newrelic.

Unpack the downloaded file into the newrelic directory.

Back up the newrelic.yml configuration file before proceeeding.

Start or re-start your app server with the
-javaagent:/path/to/newrelic.jarargument passed to the JVM. See application server specific instructions below. -
Log in to the New Relic APM site to see your app's performance information.
It takes about two minutes for the application data to appear on your New Relic APM Applications Overview dashboard.
