Why xaringan / remark.js for HTML5 Presentations? - Yihui Xie | 谢益辉
I started playing with HTML5 slides in 2011, and rarely went back to LaTeX beamer ever since.1 To be honest, I was never truly happy with any of the Markdown-based slide generation tools until I saw remark.js. Prior to that, my personal favorite HTML5 presentation was still my very first one based on a library named keydown.2 I loved it primarily because of the possibility of using fullscreen background images, which I think is critical to presentations. Fortunately, background images are dead easy with remark.js, and I found its feature set was just the right size for me: not too small, or too big.
