How to use Special characters shortcut? - Docs Editors Help
I don't believe those can be activated in Docs. The way shortcuts work in Docs to automatically insert special characters is by using Preferences. Here's how:
Use Preferences for Keyboard Shortcuts
1. Go to Tools > Preferences.
2. Add the keyboard shortcut you want to use in the left column.
3. Add the word or symbol you want the shortcut to convert to in the right column.
4. Press the blue OK button to close the dialogue box.
