这周二面的Uber,HQ在Downtown SF,离Twitter的HQ非常近,公司租了那幢大厦的四层楼做办公室。工作环境呢,环境优雅的大网吧,外面看起来很有商业气息,blue dot, dark background,etc.
Recruiter本来跟我说约好在12:45 开始,哪知又中途改了时间不告诉我 =.=  后来拖到13:30才开始面试。一共4轮。
第一轮,一位澳洲 Sr SE, 一上来非常非常具体地跟我介绍了他们team的整体情况,进一步了解了他们team究竟在做什么。然后他叫我做下简单的自我介绍,然后开始System Design。这次不是Netflix, 不是Instagram, 不是Yelp, 来吧,咱们做一个Uber吧 =.=  ... 主要讨论了用户请求和司机接收的那一块,非常open ended, 各种trade off。主要都是在交流,最后问了几个小问题走了。
第二轮,北航小哥,做中国市场group,一样题目没有变,给你一幅黑白图,让你判断是苹果还是香蕉(此处感谢万能的一亩三分地和各位面经分享者),讲讲都有哪些方法和他们的trade off。最后剩下5分钟,也是问问问题就走掉了。. Waral 鍗氬鏈夋洿澶氭枃绔�,
第三轮,一位ABC,主要做的是experiment方面,一上来跟我讲了讲AB test,我说我木有用过,他很耐心地给我讲,非常nice。接着我给他讲我这几天在学的东西,把代码给他一起看。然后做一道Spiral Matrix,慢慢一起和我分析,最后问完问题之后还给我留了邮箱。
第四轮,Engineering Manager,国人,从FB跳槽过来的,跟第三轮小哥是一个team,一看就非常屌炸天。双方自我介绍之后,我讲了一下暑期实习的内容,然后问了那个非常屌的问题,Why Uber?然后咄咄逼人,一定要把我问到非常非常尴尬,问到最后make sense为止...汗... 因为有说喜欢中国市场那个方向,从中国市场聊到了car pool 问题,在白板上画思路,做了很多assumption,最后点到U家的一个算法,他也挺满意。最后问了问他有关FB和Uber的问题。

昨天收到消息说挂鸟,不过去Uber Onsite的体验真的挺好的,大家都有一种冲劲,非常地有passion,我想了一下大概挂的地方是在跟Manager的cultural fit上, 估计并没有做到能一下子看到你的passion(昨天早上看到消息说广州的Uber被查,下午就挂掉鸟,看来在China Group有机遇也会有风险的)。不过能有机会近距离接触这么有前景的公司已经算很走运的啦!安心去硅谷磨练两年再说吧~
