Solidot | 新浏览器插件在长城上打洞

今年10月,麻省大学安默斯特分校的研究人员提出了一种不需要代理服务器的翻墙方法和新的翻墙系统CacheBrowser,绕过DNS干扰直接从CDN供应商的内容托管服务器之一上获取被屏蔽的内容。这种方法的优点是下得载延迟比Tor之类的方法小得多,但缺点是只适用于使用CDN的被屏蔽网站,幸运的是被中国屏蔽的大型网站多数都使用CDN。CacheBrowser现在发布了Chrome 和Firefox插件的测试版本,源代码发布在Github上。在被中国屏蔽前1000家最流行网站中80%可利用该插件绕过封锁,其中包括Facebook和彭博社。GreatFire.org的Charlie Smith认为利用CDN是一个出色的策略。
